There is a scene in the book when priest Chryses of apollo went to see king Agamemnon to pay for the ransom of her daughter Chryseis. King Agamemnon refused to take the money and just said bad things to priest Chryses.
King Agamemnon is a greedy king. He wants all the riches in the world. King Agamemnon is addicted with girls, he wants all the most beautiful women. Even though king Agamemnon is intelligent he is not a honorable king. Because is a greedy king and he has a stubborn heart that makes him insensitive to other people.
Connection to King Agamemnon's stubborn heart, most of the people now are selfish. They only think of what they want without knowing that they are already hurting someone's feelings. For example, I want to go out with my friends but my parents don't allow me. What happens is that I rebel, I want to go out so I will argue with my parents without knowing that I'm already saying things that hurts them. Sometimes we argue with our parents that we already know things but the reality is that we don't, we are just afraid to accept that fact.
I am glad that you have realized how you were to your parents; I hope you have changed your ways towards them. Listen to them. They mean no harm. Friends come and go, but your parents are there for you for a lifetime. Whom do you think should be given more importance? On the other hand, I must also note that you have shown a very positive attitude towards me and that I am grateful of.
