Patroclos is a noble warrior because he fought and died for his country. He did the biggest sacrifice of letting himself to be the coy so that the Trojans will fear the Greeks and loose focus in the battle. He fought with no fear, he pretended to be Achilles with the risk that he might die in the middle of the battle. He fought with no regret, he gave everything he can for Achilles and for his country.

iLiad Part 3
Yes. Patroclos asked Achilles to let him fight with the Myrmidons wearing Achilles's armor because he thought that the Trojans might mistake him for Achilles and strike fear into the Trojans and give the Greeks a respite. Patroclos succeeded of driving back the Trojans, but not the rest. Patroclos exhorts his followers to fight well for the glory of Achilles so that king Agamemnon will learn how to respect the bravest of the Greeks. Patroclos killed the leader the leader of the Paeonian causing his followers to panic. To cut this story short, at the end Hector and Patroclos fought with each other over the corpse. Euphorbus, son of Panthous, strikes Patroclos with a spear but does not kill him. Patroclos draws back within his men. Hector saw the move, advanced and put a spear through Patroclos belly, killed him.
